Summary
Caretaker
£25,396 per annum
Full-time, 40 hours per week, Flexible Rota (weekends & evenings, flexibility will be required as the hours of work change weekly)
The successful candidate will work alongside our Senior Caretaker in the day-to-day running of the synagogue complex, with duties that include cleaning, maintenance, overseeing and ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of the building’s amenities including security, Health & Safety, and all equipment for optimum performance.
Main Duties:
• To open and close the complex, acting as security and ensure the complex is always kept safe and secure.
• To carry out minor and emergency repairs
• To ensure the premises are appropriately cleaned
• Report all emergency and security matters to the Office Manager/Chair and record issues appropriately.
The successful candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility and be able to work as part of the synagogue team. You will also be organised, have a positive and calm disposition and be good with people. Previous experience in general maintenance and cleaning is essential.
