Summary


An exciting opportunity has risen to work within paediatrics to facilitate the smooth running of the patient journey by ensuring that co-ordinated and streamlined, well organised administrative processes revolve around the patient and their individual needs. Typing is essential.

You will provide administrative support to all clinical staff within the clinical area including; consultants, Nurse Specialists and Junior Doctors ensuring effective co-ordination of their diaries etc. this will include cancellation and reinstating of clinics in line with planned and unplanned leave.

Your role is to support the clinical team, Service Manager and other Divisional Managers in ensuring the speciality is able to deliver safe and effective services whilst also ensuring compliance with contractual access targets e.g. the 18 weeks Referral to Treatment target and provide cross-cover for other Patient Pathway coordinators to ensure a consistent and effective administration service is maintained at all times.

You will support the clinical team, Service Manager and other Divisional managers in ensuring the speciality are able to deliver safe and effective services whilst also ensuring compliance with contractual access targets e.g. RTT and cancer and ensure a consistent and effective administration service is maintained at all times.

Good telephone communication skills especially dealing with patients, doctors, nursing and midwifery teams and outside agencies.
