Summary
This post would be perfect for post FY2 doctors who are keen to take a break from training and gain experience or qualifications in your area of interest. This is a fixed term post for an initial period of 2 years, and you will be covering Berrow ward at Weston General Hospital.
Berrow ward is a 28 bedded respiratory ward which looks after patients with a range of respiratory conditions, including high acuity patients as well as some general medical patients. You will be supported by a dedicated respiratory team which includes a consultant, seven resident doctors (2x ST3+ and 5x ST1-2), 2x respiratory specialist nurses, 1x respiratory ACP and an NIV physiotherapist, alongside a fantastic nursing and therapies team.
This is an exciting time for our newly merged hospital, and we are looking for one doctor to join our growing respiratory team. We have one ST1-2 position in Respiratory medicine commencing January 2026.
This post is for Monday to Friday, 9:00-17:00 only so no on-calls are required.
Day to day clinical responsibilities are seen to be a significant part of the training offered to Clinical fellows, and opportunities are taken for informal clinical teaching as / when appropriate. All doctors are expected to undertake audit and to make a regular contribution to the Departmental academic programme.
