Summary
The London Borough of Sutton (LBS) is committed to delivering high-quality children's public health services through the Sutton Health and Care Alliance (SHC). SHC is a partnership of key local health and care providers including The Council, St. Georges, Epsom and St Helier Hospitals Group (GESH), South West London and St Georges MH Trust and the GP Federation (the PCNs). The childrens community public health services forms an integral part of SHC. Around 70% of these services are hosted by the Council, in the Public Health division, while 30% are hosted by St. Georges, Epsom and St Helier Hospitals Group. The components hosted by the council include Health Visiting (HV), School Nursing (SN) and Safeguarding There are close working relationships with the Councils Children Centres and Family Hubs which is fundamental to the future delivery of the Best Start in Life agenda. The service requires additional direct clinical leadership with transformation expertise to drive necessary changes in practice, productivity, and outcomes measurement.This interim role has been created to provide the clinical credibility, change management capability, and performance management authority required to transform service delivery and position the service for regulatory inspection readiness. The post holder will be employed and hosted by the London Borough of Sutton and will report directly to an LBS Consultant in Public Health Medicine and work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Operating Officer (Children) of Sutton Health and Care. They will be ultimately accountable to the Strategic Director of Public Health and Wellbeing.
