Your Care is a family-run, community-focused introductory company. We thoughtfully match trusted, self-employed carers with adults who want high-quality, person-led support in their own homes. We believe care should feel respectful, unhurried and centred around what matters most to each individual.
We are looking for compassionate, reliable people who want meaningful and flexible self-employed work. Experience is welcome but not required for all roles. Experience is essential only for those who wish to join our bank availability pool.
All visits are a minimum of 1 hour so carers have the time to provide quality support without rushing.
The Role
As a self-employed carer, you work with clients who direct their own care. Your role is to support them in maintaining their independence, comfort and wellbeing in ways that fit their preferences and routines. This is meaningful, relationship-focused work where you have time to provide support properly.
Typical support may include:
Personal care such as washing, dressing and continence support
Companionship and conversation
Light household tasks and preparing simple meals
Assistance with shopping or local errands
Medication support as agreed with the client
Mobility assistance within the home
What We Look For
We partner with carers who bring a caring approach, good communication and a reliable, steady presence.
Female applicants only, due to the personal nature of the role and in line with the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Part 1)
Experience in care is required only for those who wish to join our bank availability pool
A kind, respectful approach and the ability to build trust
Reliability and good communication
Flexibility, particularly with mornings, evenings and weekends
A car and valid UK driving licence, as local travel is required
Availability
We are currently looking for self-employed carers who can offer availability across a range of times to support client needs. This includes:
Weekday daytime hours
Evening availability
Weekend availability
Optional bank availability for short-notice or urgent client requests
(experience is required for bank work)
You can offer the times that suit you, and we will match you with clients whose needs align with the availability you provide.
Local Focus
We work within East Bristol, South Gloucestershire and West BANES, with particular focus on areas such as Kingswood, Fishponds, Hanham, Warmley, Downend, Keynsham and surrounding villages. This helps keep travel time low and ensures carers work within manageable local areas.
Working with Your Care
Carers partnered with Your Care work on a self-employed basis. You choose the hours you wish to offer and the clients you feel are the right match for you. Your Care acts solely as an introductory company, bringing clients and self-employed carers together and supporting both sides of the relationship.

A supportive, values-led community of carers
Clear, agreed rates: set between £16 and £30 per hour
