Summary
Clinical duties will include: Managing a caseload of children requiring enteral feeding Assessments of growth and nutritional needs and modifications of feeding regimes to meet requirements Joint home visits/assessments with speech and language therapy colleagues and home enteral feeding nurses to children with complex needs Supporting families with the provision of blended diet in the home and school environment Liaising with schools and education to support a childs nutritional needs in school Working alongside a wider MDT team to meet a childs needs Provision of a regular general paediatric dietetic outpatient clinic As required involvement in complex care and safeguarding issues- with support as required Cover for the eider paediatric dietetic team The postholder needs to be enthusiastic and passionate about paediatric dietetics and demonstrate that they are keen to learn and are able to work independently when required but also recognise their scope of practice and need to seek further advice and supervision.
