Summary


Applications are invited for a full-time experienced Programme Manager to provide day-to-day leadership, programme management and co-ordination of a number of complex and high level projects that will impact across the St Pancras Transformation Programme. The role is particularly suited for individuals with strong interpersonal skills and substantial prior experience of managing and coordinating complex and large-scale changes. The Programme Manager will ensure that practices and resources are effectively applied to help deliver the programme within timescale and to budget.

Working closely with the St Pancras Head of Programme, the post-holder will use programme and project management methodology to develop programme plans and milestones, manage risks and ensure rigorous controls are in place to support delivery of the programme. The post holder will be responsible for liaising with a range of service leads (both clinical and non-clinical), staff, service users and external stakeholders, to ensure full engagement with the programme.

The individual should be able to provide and receive highly complex information and develop clear and concise reports, communicate, lead and influence at all levels, have strong planning and coordination skills, and be able to grasp critical issues and inform clear management priorities.

The individual should be able to proficiently navigate challenging discussions and support teams in mitigating risks and issues.

In order to meet the needs of the Trust you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey or Islington. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.

In collaboration with the Programme Director, Head of Programme and programme team, identify the projects and work- streams at the outset and throughout the duration of theprogramme, responding to the changing needs over time.

Identify programme and project resources required for full implementation of individual elements of the programme.

Develop programme plans and milestones and ensure that these are managed within agreed timescales.

Ensure that required documentation is professionally produced to deadlines and appropriate programme and project controls are in place and effectively used throughout the life cycle of the programme.

Ensure that benefit realisation ideas are included in any St Pancras Transformation programme projects and to ensure these changes are captured centrally.

Update the risk register and issues log and to keep programme and projects members and the Programme Board fully informed ofchanges.

Monitor programme performance against expected outcome and develop remedial action plans when required, ensuring task compliance and achievement of key milestones.

Ensure rigorous set of controls are in place to support the delivery of the programme.

Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the Trust and externally.

Where there are differing views, be able to negotiate with stakeholders to achieve an agreed way forward, be able to manage resistance to change, and provide appropriate challenge to ensure project outcomes are met.

Ensure a facilitative and consultative approach is taken so that staff, service user and stakeholder views are considered from the outset of the programme.

Ensure the availability of information and communications about the programme, write reports for and present to the Executive team, securing senior level engagement and support to champion change through the organisation.
