Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are responsible for the deliver the Neonatal BCG Immunisation Programme across Birmingham and Solihull.

We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated administrative staff to join our team to develop and deliver thiscommunity clinicbased service.

The successful candidate(s) will be the primary point of contact for liaison within the clinical team, giving information and guidance to patients, carers, relatives and staff, appropriate to the role. Team administrators will be required to undertake a comprehensive range of administrative duties, having responsibility for high quality maintenance of clinical record systems. The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for receiving referrals from maternity hospitals and other sources and schedule and book neonatal BCG appointments,as well as the following up of families who do not attend for their appointment.

Administrative duties at community clinics will include receiving families and booking them into the clinic and notifying GPs of BCG vaccinations administered.

This is a varied role, working both within an office/base and clinic environment.
The permament base for this team will be Hob Moor Road .

Maintaining an efficient and effective filing system for records and documents.

Maintain an appointment system, create clinic sheets and send out scheduled appointments and letters as appropriate.

Provide clerical support to the Clinical Team

Receive referrals from maternity hospitals and other sources and schedule and book neonatal BCG appointments

Receive and register clients attending clinic sessions as required.

Processing requests for non-stock ordering and deliveries

BCHC provide high quality community and specialist services within Birmingham and the West Midlands.

We deliver over 100 clinical services, out in people’s homes and in over 200 healthcare settings for adults, children, people with learning disabilities, those with rehabilitation needs and also dental services along with over 500 educational educational establishments.

Provide general non-clinical advice, information and guidance

Provide and receive routine information to colleagues, users, parents, carers, the public

Deal professionally and promptly with telephone enquiries, taking and processing messages accurately and maintaining confidentiality at all times and ensuring standards for customer services excellence are met.

Responsible for data entry, text processing or storage of data

Provide clerical support to the Clinical Team within the clinics delivering BCG vaccinations.

Booking of BCG appointments

Liasing with familys to promote attendance at clinics.

Book meetings and clinical working space.
