Location: Busy 3PL Warehouse
Hours: Day shifts, Monday to Friday (08:30-16:30 or 09:00-17:00), with potential to move onto shift patterns
Pay Rate: £15.50 per hour
Contract: Full-time
Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive Warehouse Team Leader / Shift Manager to supervise daily operations in a fast-paced 3PL warehouse environment. This role involves leading a team of warehouse operatives and pickers, ensuring targets are met, and maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency across multiple customer contracts.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, experienced in warehouse operations, and comfortable working in both day and future shift patterns.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise warehouse teams during your shift
- Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure productivity targets are met
- Support high-volume picking, manual handling, loading, and unloading operations
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, including manual handling and chiller operations
- Train, coach, and mentor team members to develop skills and performance
- Maintain workflow across multiple contracts and warehouse areas
- Assist in stock management, order accuracy, and warehouse organisation
- Report shift performance, issues, and improvements to senior management
- Previous experience as a Team Leader or Shift Supervisor in a warehouse environment
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Experience with high-volume manual handling and picking operations
- Knowledge of health & safety standards and warehouse compliance
- Ability to motivate a team and maintain high operational standards
- Flexible and adaptable to changing workloads and shift patterns
- Reliable, proactive, and hands-on approach to warehouse management
