Our client is currently experiencing active growth and is recruiting motivated, reliable, and hardworking employees in Staffordshire to work in the agricultural sector across the United Kingdom.
Poultry Catcher is a specialised and stable role within the agricultural industry. This position requires good physical fitness, responsibility, discipline, the ability to work as part of a team, mobility, and a genuine willingness to work, learn, and earn.
Work is carried out as part of mobile teams, with travel to various sites throughout the UK.
Recruitment is conducted in Staffordshire (including the town of Telford). Depending on the client’s operational needs, the role may involve travel to other regions of the United Kingdom.
Some assignments may require long-distance travel. Where applicable, transport costs and hotel accommodation are covered by the employer.

Key Responsibilities
• Vaccination of poultry in accordance with operational and biosecurity procedures
• Catching, handling, moving, and loading chickens, turkeys, and other poultry in compliance with safety standards and humane welfare practices
• Disposal-related work in the event of avian influenza outbreaks — only where appropriate authorisation is in place and strictly in accordance with UK legislation
• Cleaning and washing poultry houses, equipment, and work areas using high-pressure cleaning equipment
• Strict adherence to teamwork principles, health and safety regulations, site rules, and client requirements

❗ Alcohol, drugs, and serious disciplinary breaches are strictly prohibited.
This role involves a high level of responsibility; therefore, compliance with these rules is monitored and enforced rigorously.

Training and Certification
During employment, staff progressively undertake professional training and certification in the following areas:
• Poultry Welfare — humane treatment and welfare of birds
• Biosecurity — disease prevention and biosecurity measures
• Manual Handling — safe lifting and handling techniques
• Hygiene — sanitation and hygiene standards on work sites

All training courses are fully funded by the employer.
The certificates obtained are recognised within the industry and support ongoing professional development, skills enhancement, and career advancement.
