Processing of information electronic and hard copy in a timely manner Liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers in accordance with current policies Typing letters, reports and associated documentation as required Processing referrals using the electronic referral system ERS including and not limited to referral related emails, meeting related emails, A&G list, triage responses, rejected list, assessments, cancelled referrals, incomplete UBRNs, missing referral letters, referrals pending External Action, EMIS referrals, IFRs etc. Scanning of patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patients healthcare records Processing requests for information i.e. SAR, insurance letters solicitors letters and DVLA forms Assist with general secretarial administrative tasks Adhere to practice policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality and data protection To liaise and arrange clinical meetings including attending meetings and taking minutes. To keep a record of referrals To provide cover for members of the secretarial team during periods of sickness and annual leave To maintain adequate supplies of office stationery in order to perform your secretarial duties. Chase up appointments for patients Assisting in organising PPG meetings and minute taking. To perform any other duties as requested by the practice manager, assistant practice manager, operations manager or clinicians Confidentiality: In the course of seeking treatment, patients entrust us with, or allow us to gather, sensitive information in relation to their health and other matters. In the performance of the duties outlined in this job description, the post-holder may have access to confidential information relating to patients and their carers, practice staff and other healthcare workers. They may also have access to information relating to the Practice as a business organisation.All such information from any source is to be regarded as strictly confidential.
