Job Title: Junior Sister/Charge Nurse - Band 6 Department: Oncology Inpatients Ward Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week - on rotation covering days, nights and weekends Contract: Permanent Salary: £49,133 - £60,067 - dependent on experience About Us: The London Clinic provides specialist, consultant led cancer care within a dedicated oncology setting. Our inpatient oncology service supports patients across medical oncology, haematology, systemic anti-cancer therapies and end of life care. Based in the Duchess of Devonshire Wing, our Oncology Inpatients ward delivers highly personalised care in a calm, supportive environment. We work closely with specialist nurses, oncologists, surgeons and allied health professionals to ensure seamless care across diagnosis, treatment and recovery. The role We are recruiting a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Oncology Inpatients ward. This is a key clinical leadership role, supporting the Ward Manager and routinely acting as Nurse in Charge of shifts. You will deliver high quality oncology nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, including management of acute oncological presentations, administration of systemic anti-cancer therapy, and compassionate end of life care. You will be a visible clinical leader, supporting junior staff, contributing to service development, and working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, patient centred care. This role is ideal for an experienced oncology nurse ready to take the next step into leadership while remaining clinically hands on. Ideal candidate You will be a Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration and experience working in an oncology inpatient setting. You will be confident acting as Nurse in Charge, able to prioritise complex clinical workloads, and comfortable supporting others through leadership and mentorship. Essential Registered Adult Nurse with NMC registration Minimum 2 years post registration experience in oncology nursing Strong knowledge of cancer treatments and treatment related toxicities Experience of inpatient and end of life care Confident leadership and communication skills Chemotherapy or SACT administration qualification UKONS AOS triage certification Benefits We offer a range of benefits including flexible working and great career opportunities.
