The Role

We’re recruiting for a Business Continuity Lead here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative Central Digital team.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Business Continuity Planning:


Ensure comprehensive business continuity plans and procedures are in place across Justice Digital to ensure we can respond to and recover from disruptions.
Identify critical business functions, processes and establish strategies and measures to mitigate risks and minimise downtime.
Ensure business impact assessments are in place and reviewed regularly to assess potential risks and quantify the financial and operational impacts of disruptions
Define recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs) for critical business processes

2.Risk Assessment and Mitigation:


Ensure risk assessments are in place to identify potential threats, vulnerabilities and single points of failure that may impact business operations.
Lead and advise on risk mitigation strategies and recommend & implement preventive measures to minimise the likelihood and impact of disruptions.
Stay updated on emerging risks, industry trends and regulatory requirements related to business continuity and incorporate them into the planning process.

3.Business Continuity Testing and Maintenance:


Ensure all areas within Justice Digital have an implemented Business Continuity Plan, including regular testing exercises, such as tabletop simulations and full-scale drills, to validate the effectiveness of business continuity plans.
Analyse test results, identify areas for improvement and update plans and procedures accordingly.
Coordinate and facilitate training programs to educate employees on their roles and responsibilities during disruptions.

4.Crisis Management and Incident Response:


Establish a crisis management framework and incident response procedures to effectively manage and respond to emergencies and disruptions.
Coordinate and lead response efforts during crisis situations, collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and relevant authorities.
Communicate timely and accurate updates to key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and maintaining the organisation's reputation.

5.Documentation and Reporting:


Ensure all Justice Digital departments have a maintained, accurate and up-to-date documentation of business continuity plans, procedures and incident reports.
Prepare regular reports on business continuity metrics, testing results and program effectiveness for senior management and regulatory compliance purposes.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and best practices related to business continuity.
