Summary
**Please note that the job description is currently being approved by the Royal College of Physicians** The post holder will fulfil the following clinical commitments: Weekly outpatient clinic(s) Support the Cardiology Consultant of the Week rota Support the Valve and Echocardiography Consultant of the Week rota for additional Ward Round support Diagnosis of patients referred to GSTT and partner trusts. Continuing clinical responsibility for the patients in their charge, allowing for all proper delegation to, and training of, junior staff. To be flexible to provide a high-quality service for patients accessing the service (flexibility with emergency lists is required). All staff are expected to take part in clinical governance activity, including clinical audit, clinical guideline and protocol development and clinical risk management. They will be expected to produce evidence of their contribution in these areas as part of their annual appraisal. All consultants are expected to contribute to the management and development of their clinical service. To ensure a robust service is provided.
