Reporting to the Systems & Data Lead, you’ll initially play a key role in a major project implementation before transitioning into a business-as-usual leadership role. You’ll be responsible for designing, developing and delivering high-quality reporting, analysis and insight across the full property lifecycle helping stakeholders understand performance, optimise investment, and drive continuous improvement.
This is a highly visible role, combining hands-on Power BI expertise with stakeholder engagement, data architecture understanding, and strategic analytical thinking.
Whatyou’ll do:
Reporting & Insight Delivery
Design, develop, test and deliver high-quality Power BI dashboards and reports across:
Estates and asset management
Property finance and cost analysis
Maintenance, lifecycle and compliance
Capital projects and investment
Facilities management
Energy and utilities
Workplace and people analytics
Supply chain performance
Deliver contractual, routine and ad-hoc reporting with clear commentary, insight and recommendations.
Ensure all reporting meets agreed quality, governance, audit and visual standards.
Data & Analytics Enablement
Support the setup and ongoing development of the Common Data Environment and Data Warehouse (AWS-based).
Work with service leads, the client and suppliers to enrich, cleanse and integrate data from multiple operational systems (e.g. MRI Evolution).
Help re-engineer manual data flows into scalable, repeatable ETL/ELT pipelines.
Support data quality assurance, documentation, metadata management and impact analysis.
Advanced Analytics & Innovation
Drive best practice in data visualisation, including quantitative, qualitative and spatial data.
Use performance analysis to identify operational issues and recommend improvement actions.
Develop more advanced analytics capability using tools such as R Studio, R Markdown, machine learning and automation where appropriate.
Promote agile delivery using modern platforms such as Power BI, SQL, R, Azure/AWS and GitHub.
Stakeholder & Contract Support
Work closely with senior stakeholders to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable insight.
Support mobilisation activity, including historical data review, cleansing and migration.
Contribute to investment appraisals, business cases and account development activity.
Play an active role in the Systems, Data, Analytics & Insights Community of Practice, providing technical leadership and mentoring.
What you bring:
Essential Experience & Skills
Strong background in data analysis, reporting and visualisation, with proven Power BI expertise.
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
Solid understanding of data modelling, data quality, metadata management and BI best practice.
Experience working with SQL and data warehouses; R/R Studio experience is desirable.
Ability to design and deliver repeatable, scalable data and reporting solutions.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain complex data clearly to non-technical audiences.
Proactive, curious mindset with a passion for turning data into actionable insight.
Technical & Data Capability
Experience supporting or working alongside ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration.
Understanding of AWS or cloud-based data platforms.
Knowledge of GDPR, information security and data governance principles.
Comfortable working in agile, multi-tool environments.
Personal Attributes
