✨ Job Opportunity: Personal Carer for 15-Year-Old Girl With Cerebral Palsy ✨
We are looking for a caring, reliable and patient Personal Carer to support our 15-year-old daughter, who has cerebral palsy and is a wheelchair user. This is a rewarding role supporting her daily routine, independence, and overall wellbeing.
Location: Ponteland
⏰ Hours: 30 hours per week
Pay: £15 per hour
Driver Preferred: Yes – feel confident driving daughters wheelchair accessible vehicle
Training: previous experience in a care setting desired but not essential as full training will be provided.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
• Helping with personal care
• Supporting mobility and transfers
• Helping with daily activities and routines
• Offering companionship and encouragement
• Accompanying her to appointments, activities, or outings (driver preferred)
• Working in a small team and alongside parents
• Attending hospital appointments alongside parents or other care staff
• Some light household cleaning
• Laundry
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
• Kind, patient and trustworthy
• Confident working with young people
• Willing to learn and follow care plans
• Reliable with good communication skills
• Happy to work as part of a family-centred support team
• Is able to be fun and creative
