As an Employment Skills and Systems Trainer in our Employment, Skills and Training Services team, you’ll play a key role in building capability across our Restart programmes.
You’ll design and deliver high-quality training that supports colleagues and participants, helping people move closer to sustainable employment while meeting contractual and regulatory requirements.
You’ll work across multiple Serco sites in the Midlands, delivering training in person and online, ensuring learning is inclusive, engaging and aligned to Serco’s values and standards.
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Design, update and deliver workforce skills and systems training programmes that meet commissioner, regulatory and contractual requirements
- Deliver engaging training through group sessions, workshops and one-to-one support, both face-to-face and online
- Train colleagues on systems including Elevate, BUD, Strata and Dynamics, supporting confident and compliant use
- Measure and evaluate training impact using performance data to support continuous improvement
- Work closely with training managers, quality, compliance, data and operational teams to support service delivery
- Promote safeguarding, health, safety and wellbeing across all learning activity

Essential skills and experience
- A minimum Level 3 Award in Education and Training, or equivalent teaching or training qualification
- Level 3 subject-specific qualification within employability or a related field
- Proven experience designing, coordinating and delivering staff training programmes
- Experience delivering training within adult education, employability or welfare-to-work environments
- Strong knowledge of both face-to-face and online training delivery methods
- A full UK driving licence, with the flexibility to travel weekly across Serco sites in the Midlands
Desirable skills and experience
- A teaching or training qualification at Level 4 or above
- Experience delivering training within Restart or similar employment support programmes
- Working knowledge of systems such as Elevate, BUD, Strata or Microsoft Dynamics
- Experience delivering Learning and Development programmes rated Ofsted ‘Good’ or equivalent
- Experience designing and delivering colleague training programmes
- Experience working within AEB, DWP, ESFA or Ofsted-regulated environments
