We're on a journey to build a workforce reflective of our Borough.
We are committed to fostering diverse teams where everybody can bring their authentic selves to work and feel that they belong. If you want to work for a Council where everybody is encouraged to meet their full potential and make a difference in our neighbourhoods, we would love to hear from you!
Your role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of residential children’s homes. Are you passionate about creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children with disabilities and complex health needs? We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Domestic to join our team at our short-break children’s home.
At our home, we provide a nurturing environment where children can relax, have fun, and feel valued during their short stays. Your role is vital in ensuring the home is clean, hygienic, and well-prepared so every child feels comfortable and settled. You will manage tasks such as cleaning bedrooms and communal areas, and laundry, helping to create a homely atmosphere that supports the care team in delivering exceptional experiences.
About you:
You will be highly motivated, reliable, and take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. You’ll be flexible and proactive, able to work as part of a team and respond to changing needs. Experience in a domestic or cleaning role, ideally within a care or residential setting, is desirable. You’ll have good organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to following health and safety and infection control procedures. Above all, you’ll understand the importance of creating a welcoming environment for children and families during their short breaks.

We value respect, teamwork, and a shared commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.
