Summary
Clinical Provide clinical care to our patients. This will include reducing the demand on GP time by the assessment and management of patients by means of telephone triage and clinic appointments. Use advanced skills and expert knowledge to assess the physical and psycho social needs of patients with common primary care conditions and minor illness, instigating and providing therapeutic treatments based on best available evidence to improve health outcomes. Use advanced skills and expert knowledge to make comprehensive and focussed assessments, independently and proactively managing care of the patients. Promote patient independence and self-care where appropriate. Undertake the role of independent non-medical prescriber in the treatment and care of patients Review pathology results to ensure appropriate treatment and care Support and lead the practice for the delivery of the Quality and Outcomes Framework and NHS England/ICB/Federation Contracts. Regulatory Respond to complaints and clinical incidents/significant events as appropriate to ensure robust systems are in place for improving practice through joint learning. Undertake at least one clinical audit a year. Evaluate data and present findings to the Practice Clinical team. Implement changes where appropriate. Adhere to the Practice Policies and Procedures including Infection Control, Health and Safety All staff must be familiar with and actively promote the practices Equal Opportunities Policy at all times. Personal / Professional Development Maintain own personal/professional development plan and portfolio thereby meeting the requirements for revalidation through appraisal of own performance. Provide Mentorship and training of new recruits or students as and when required. Participate in the Practice Performance Review process.
