We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant in a Canada-based real estate firm. It is a global property investment and development group dedicated to creating inspiring educational spaces that spark innovation and creativity. They are seeking a motivated Accounts Assistant to support daily finance operations and work closely with the Head of Finance across a wide range of accounting activities. This varied role offers exposure to the full finance function, collaboration with senior stakeholders, and opportunities for professional growth in a supportive environment.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 2 years’ bookkeeping experience with strong reconciliation skills
AAT Level 3 or 4, or early-stage ACCA/CIMA student; part-qualified with experience preferred
Previous experience as a Junior Accountant or in a similar role
Proficiency in accounting software essential; QuickBooks preferred
Strong Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team
High attention to detail with proactive problem-solving and strong organisational skills
Fluency in Mandarin
Job Responsibilities:
Manage supplier setup, purchase orders, and accurate posting of expenditure, invoices, and credit notes
Prepare and process supplier payments, oversee credit control, and maintain debtor management
Upload and organise finance documentation in SharePoint
Maintain fixed asset register and inventory records
Analyse and reconcile corporate card expenses
Perform reconciliations across bank, VAT, intercompany accounts, payroll, and other ledgers
Process monthly accruals, prepayments, and journals
Support the Head of Finance in preparing management reports, budgets, and forecasts
Act as a cross-departmental point of contact to ensure smooth financial operations
Assist with year-end accounts and audit preparation
This is a varied role requiring flexibility, with additional tasks undertaken as aligned to core responsibilities.
