The Role (Flexible – based on your strengths)

We are seeking a T-Shirt Printing Tutor to deliver an engaging, hands-on programme for SEND post-16 learners using BCI-supplied equipment, including:
• DTG (Direct-to-Garment) printing
• DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing
• Vinyl cutting/plotting and weeding
• Heat press finishing and application

Onboarding and familiarisation training will be provided to the right applicant, so you can confidently deliver both the practical and theoretical elements of the course to SEND learners.

Course delivery options (any/all can be part of the role):
• Intro to garment decoration workflows (DTG/DTF/vinyl)
• Design-to-print skills (basic layout, sizing, colour handling, print readiness)
• Safe use of equipment, heat, materials, and consumables
• Production skills: set-up, printing, pressing, finishing, quality checks
• Maintenance routines (basic cleaning, daily/weekly checks, best practice)
• Small business/enterprise: pricing, customer briefs, simple order tracking
We will shape the timetable around your strengths and learner needs.

Key Responsibilities (tailored to your remit)

• Plan and deliver accessible sessions with clear steps, visuals, repetition, and practical outcomes.
• Support learners to develop confidence, independence, and safe working habits around equipment.
• Differentiate for a wide range of SEND needs (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, anxiety, communication needs).
• Track learner progress and record evidence in a simple, consistent way.
• Work collaboratively with the SENCo and curriculum team to align learning to individual targets and EHCP outcomes (where applicable).
• Promote a calm, structured learning environment with clear routines and positive behaviour support.

What matters most

• Practical experience with DTG and/or DTF printing, vinyl, and heat press workflows (you don’t need to be an expert in all areas).

Desirable (not essential):

• Experience working with SEND learners or young people
• Experience creating simple schemes of work and session plans
