To provide administrative and clerical support to the fluoroscopy & Interventional Radiology Suite, taking the responsibility for efficient flow of scheduled and emergency lists with the ultimate aim of effective and timely patient care.

To ensure the effective organisation of all patients under the care of our consultants in accordance with Local and National policy and targets.
To assist with the implementation and maintain an efficient office management system/procedures to enable the Department to optimize their standards of service.
Deal with all telephone calls, ensuring all calls are dealt with in a polite, pleasant and professional manner.
Maintain high quality standards by ensuring that the data entered onto Trust systems is accurate, complete and up to date. Systems include EPR Revenue Cycle, E-Referrals, Powerchart, Capman and Appointment book.

• To act as the first line point of contact for the daily workflow, enabling effective communication of information within the multi-disciplinary team.
• To communicate effectively with wards and service users to facilitate patient preparation for treatment and to enable timely transfer to and from the interventional suite.
• To demonstrate excellent communication skills when dealing with patients, relatives and members of the multidisciplinary team utilising sensitivity, empathy and ability to manage conflict.
• To understand and implement trust and departmental patient preparation guidance as appropriate to the treatment or examination required, following clinical instruction and advice given in the Radiology information system (Soliton) notes.
• To act on the instruction of the operating interventional radiologist and the clinical team.
• Actively contribute to effective teamwork.
• Greet all patients, relatives and visitors to the Fluoroscopy & Interventional Radiology Suite and direct them to the appropriate area for examination or treatment.
• Make and receive departmental telephone calls and emails courteously dealing with enquiries and directing queries where appropriate.
