Summary
The Best Connection are looking for Street Cleaners for our esteemed client in Burntwood.
The role will involve a multitude of different duties ranging from the following:
- Litter and Debris Removal: Collects and removes litter, trash, and debris from streets, sidewalks, and other public areas.
- Graffiti Removal: Removes graffiti from street signs, buildings, and other surfaces.
- Sweeping and Cleaning: Sweeps and vacuums pavements, gutters, and roadways using hand-operated tools and/or machinery.
- Public Toilet Cleaning: May be responsible for cleaning public toilets and facilities.
- Roadside Cleaning: Cleans up leaves, grass clippings, and other debris from roadsides and verges.
- Hazard Reporting: Identifies and reports potential hazards like broken glass or other dangerous materials.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintains and cleans cleaning equipment, including brooms, shovels, and dust carts.
- Waste Disposal: Transfers collected waste into containers and may assist with disposal at transfer stations.
Working Conditions:
- Outdoor Environment: Street cleaners primarily work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Physical Activity: The job requires physical activity, including walking, bending, and lifting.
- Set Routes: Street cleaners typically follow a set route and schedule to ensure efficient cleaning.
- Driving - Use of the sweeper to clean roads and streets
