Summary

Job Overview:
We are seeking dedicated Specialist Support Staff as agency staffing to provide targeted pastoral, behavioural, and intervention support within UK schools. The role focuses on supporting pupils’ wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement to help them achieve positive educational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with behavioural or emotional needs

Deliver intervention programmes to improve behaviour, attendance, and engagement

Support pupils’ social, emotional, and personal development, including SEN pupils

Promote positive behaviour and a safe, inclusive learning environment

Monitor progress and maintain accurate records

Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams

Uphold safeguarding policies and school procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications:

GCSEs (or equivalent); relevant training or experience preferred

Strong behaviour management and communication skills

Empathy, patience, and resilience

Experience working with children or young people

Safeguarding awareness and willingness to complete training

Enhanced DBS check and right to work in the UK
