Summary
Lead the day-to-day management of medical appraisal and revalidation, working closely with Medical Directors, Clinical Directors, and Workforce colleagues. Advise on complex issues as a specialist resource for appraisal, revalidation, and GMC licensing. Develop and monitor effective processes and systems for appraisal and revalidation. Maintain local information systems (MARS, ESR) and facilitate communication and reporting. Support and train clinicians and managers on appraisal and revalidation requirements. Represent the Trust at internal and external meetings. Lead service improvement initiatives and policy development. Ensure compliance through systematic audits, reviews, and exception reporting.
