The Opportunity
Howard Finley is scaling its construction recruitment division and is hiring an experienced Senior Construction Consultant to take ownership of a high-performing desk. This is a growth role for a commercially driven recruiter who can operate autonomously, build long-term client partnerships, and mentor junior consultants.
You will sit at the centre of a fast-moving, delivery-led business with strong PSL access, repeat clients, and live requirements across residential, commercial, civils, and fit-out markets.
Key Responsibilities
Build, manage, and grow a profitable construction desk (perm, freelance, or dual)
Win new business and deepen existing client relationships
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from brief to placement
Deliver senior white-collar and/or high-volume blue-collar hires
Act as a trusted advisor to clients on market intelligence, rates, and hiring strategy
Support, coach, and influence junior consultants where required
Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline forecasting
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Construction Recruitment Consultant (minimum 3–4 years)
Track record of consistent billings and client retention
Strong knowledge of UK construction markets and compliance
Commercial mindset with a consultative approach
Confident communicator with senior clients and candidates
Self-starter mentality with leadership potential
