Are you someone who enjoys getting out and about, having fun, and making a positive difference in someone’s life? I’m a fun-loving, sociable 23-year-old young woman looking for a temporary PA to support me to live my best life – both at home and out in the community – while a team member is off on long-term sickness.
I love being on the go! You’ll often find me heading to the cinema, theatre, or musicals, going swimming, visiting new places, enjoying walks, or stopping at cafés for a hot chocolate. I also enjoy travelling locally by car, bus, or train. At home, I love listening to music (and sometimes having a dance!), doing jigsaws, arts and crafts, watching TV, and helping with cooking.
I have a learning disability, so I need someone who can support me to stay safe, help with communication when needed, and offer calm, patient guidance – especially when I’m finding things a little tricky. Support is also needed with daily living tasks such as washing, dressing, preparing meals, and light household chores like cooking or putting a wash on.
I’m looking for someone caring, understanding, and reliable – someone who enjoys being active, having fun, and sharing laughter. You’ll need to be confident supporting me both at home and in the community. Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or behavioural needs would be ideal, but the right attitude is most important.
This is a temporary full-time role for approximately 3 months, with the potential to be extended. A job share arrangement would be considered, so flexibility is welcome.
There may also be opportunities to support me on day trips, short breaks, or holidays, so a sense of adventure is definitely a plus! I live with my mum, dad, sister, and my lovely dog, so being comfortable around families and pets is important.
If you’re caring, patient, dependable, and enjoy being out and about, I’d love to hear from you.
