Summary
Key Duties and Responsibilities Develop, implement, and oversee a sustainable legacy fundraising programme under the supervision of the Individual Giving and Lottery Manager to maximise income. Plan, deliver, and establish annual legacy campaigns and events with support from the Marketing and Communications Team. Manage supporter journeys, stewarding legacy donors from enquiry to pledge. Respond to supporter enquiries via telephone, email, or the hospice website. Coordinate and oversee stewardship of legacy pledgers, ensuring timely communications and collaboration with relevant teams. Liaise with solicitors and executors, recording interactions in the CRM system. Act as the main point of contact for legacy fundraising across the organisation. Monitor and report on financial activity related to legacy income streams with the Finance Team, identifying growth, concern, and success. Organise annual legacy pledger stewardship events, on-site or at external venues. Plan and manage Make a Will Month events, liaising with local solicitors to raise awareness and maximise income. Gather insight on legacy giving trends, networking with other hospice fundraisers to keep strategies current. Develop and project manage end-to-end legacy marketing communications, including direct mail, social media, digital campaigns, and events. Maintain GDPR-compliant CRM records to ensure accurate reporting and meaningful donor communications. Provide event support at large hospice events, including occasional work outside contracted hours. Support the Individual Giving and Lottery Manager with other fundraising activities as needed, ensuring coordinated efforts. Keep up-to-date with Charity Law and sector fundraising developments, adhering to the Charities Act and Fundraising Regulator codes. Act as an active, supportive member of the Income Generation team, sharing skills, insights, and knowledge. Other Responsibilities Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role. Act as an ambassador for the Hospice, maintaining honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness. Maintain strict confidentiality at all times. Follow health and safety and fire precautions. Adhere to clinical risk management, safeguarding procedures, and relevant best practice guidelines. Ensure data protection is maintained at all times. Be flexible with working hours to meet service needs. Support the Hospice across a range of duties within the grading of the post. Responsibilities may evolve over time, with full communication and consultation on significant changes.
