Summary

CNC Machine Setter (4-Axis Turning)

Location: Rainham, Essex

Salary: £17 + per hour (Dependent on experience)

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (40 Hours)


Shift Patterns Available:

  • Day Shift: 08:00 – 16:30 (or 06:00 – 14:30)
  • Night Shift: 19:00 – 05:30


The Role


Join the renowned Perrin & Rowe Brassware team in Rainham. As a CNC Machine Setter, you will be the technical expert responsible for setting and supporting critical 4-axis CNC turning machines. You will ensure the precision manufacture of high-end brassware components, maintaining the luxury quality our brand is known for



Key Responsibilities - CNC Machine Setter -Rainham, Essex


  • Set & Operate: Manage 4-axis CNC Turning machines using Fanuc, Siemens, and HAAS controls.
  • Quality & First-Offs: Perform detailed quality checks against technical drawings and pass off "first-off" approvals for production runs.
  • Precision Measurement: Use verniers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure 100% dimensional accuracy.
  • DNC Management: Handle program transfers to and from the DNC system.
  • Maintenance: Manage tool life/maintenance and uphold 5S standards for a clean, safe workspace.
  • Reporting: Promptly identify and report equipment failures or quality defects.
  • Mentorship: Assist in training and developing new team members.


What You Bring -CNC Machine Setter -Rainham, Essex


  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience setting 4-axis CNC turning machinery.
  • Control Proficient: Strong working knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, or HAAS programming/interfaces.
  • Drawing Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings confidently.
  • Quality Mindset: Meticulous attention to detail and experience with manual measuring equipment.
  • Self-Starter: Ability to manage a flexible planning cycle and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Background: An engineering background is highly preferred.
