Summary

Do you want to work for a team that engages with a wide range of services, product teams and technical colleagues across DWP (Department for Work and Pensions) Digital?

If so, this role may be perfect for you.

This is a unique opportunity to join the Service Portfolio Catalogue Team, part of the DWP Place team within DWP Digital and Transformation. We’re a collaborative and forward thinking team that plays a key role in managing services and defining how they should be accurately recorded and represented across the department.

We’re looking for someone who’s driven, passionate and wants to make a real impact in Digital in a non infrastructure role. This position focuses on maintaining high quality service data, ensuring it is consistent, reliable, and aligned with governance standards. You’ll be working in a dynamic environment, supporting digital transformation by enabling better visibility and control of services, and helping teams across DWP deliver value to millions of users.

You’ll be part of a team that champions service clarity, supports governance and works closely with service owners, product managers, and technical leads to ensure our service data reflects the reality of what’s delivered.

If this sounds like you, apply today!

As Services transition through their operational Lifecycle, you will ensure that service records, data attributes and interdependent relationships in the DWP Service Portfolio Catalogue are accurate and reflect the current agreed service data model.

You will support the development and implementation of Service Portfolio Catalogue strategic plans, taking into account the Common Service Data Model within ServiceNow.

Working with stakeholders, you will optimise the day-to-day capture and use of Service Portfolio Catalogue records and their associated data. This will entail agreeing the scope of plans and procedures with stakeholders and ensuring that changes to plans and procedures are properly impacted and communicated.

As a Service Portfolio Catalogue Manager, you will:

  • Enhance and apply Service Portfolio Catalogue standards, plans, processes and procedures based on organisational policies and standards.
  • Manage Service records and ensure that changes to them are properly impacted, approved and communicated.
  • Enhance and apply processes, techniques and tools to capture, track, correct and report on Service records and associated data to ensure accuracy, completeness and availability.
  • Ensure that process interfaces with other functions are clearly defined.
  • Be working between multiple ServiceNow environments on discovery for future adaptations, modelling the proposed data model and testing ahead of platform releases.
  • Report on the status of Service Portfolio Catalogue data and process performance.
  • Make use of automation where possible to increase process efficiency and accuracy.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders and encourage joined up working within own team and across other groups. Collaborate to share information, resources and support.
  • Support continuous improvement and successful exploitation of the data model, processes and procedures.
  • Identify risks and issues, escalating them via your manager or the relevant stakeholder as appropriate.
