Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a new Corporate Project Manager in our Programme Management team. This is a pivotal role within our organisation, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards and enabling the Council to deliver on its corporate aims and objectives.
The Role
The successful candidate will work closely with the Housing and Community service and Facilities Management service to manage projects that support the successful delivery of the Council’s Housing Strategy. A key focus will be on the activities outlined in the Service Improvement Plan that will enable the Council to meet the requirements of the Consumer Standards set by the Regulator of Social Housing, improving our housing stock and meeting the diverse needs of our tenants.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing and delivering projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with corporate aims and objectives.
Developing robust project plans, budgets, and risk management strategies.
Communicating and coordinating with internal teams, tenants, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes and demonstrating a customer focus
Monitoring performance, reporting progress, and maintaining compliance with governance frameworks.
Driving innovation and best practice in project delivery.
About You:
We are looking for applicants with excellent organisational skills and a good grasp of project management tools and techniques.
You will be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and be able prioritise effectively.
You will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to coordinate delivery of projects in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
You will be an excellent communicator with a real customer focus
Experience of working in the housing sector will be beneficial along with an understanding of housing policy and regulatory requirements.
