Summary
At Mencap, we are passionate about improving the lives of people with a learning disability. Our People Partners play a critical role in creating an inclusive, supportive and values-led workplace where colleagues feel heard, supported and able to thrive.
We are now looking for a People Partner to join our People team and work closely with senior leaders and colleagues across the organisation. This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis. We are flexible with regards to the location of this role, but you may need to travel to various locations across England, Wales, and NI as and when needed.
About the role
As a People Partner, you will provide pragmatic, trusted people advice and support to leaders, helping them navigate a wide range of people matters while ensuring an exceptional colleague experience. You will build strong relationships across directorates, influence with confidence, and ensure our values are reflected in how we work every day.
You will work collaboratively with the wider People Leadership team and People Directorate, supporting organisational priorities and contributing to continuous improvement across our people practices.

Your experience
You will have:
- Experience in a People operational and/or advisory role, offering pragmatic and balanced solutions
- A proven track record of building strong relationships and influencing stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing and complex priorities
- Confidence working with people data, including interpreting and sharing reports and KPIs
- A clear commitment to putting colleague experience at the heart of everything you do
Experience within social care and/or working with people with a learning disability is welcomed but not essential.
