This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact across UKPN's OHL and cable diversion portfolios - working with internal teams, external stakeholders, and specialist contractors to keep major engineering projects moving safely and smoothly.
What You'll Do

- Acting as the company's point of reference for all things CDM
- Coordinating survey information, technical documents, and procurement requirements
- Managing notifications to the HSE for all Notifiable projects
- Monitoring project progress in P6 and communicating with stakeholders
- Leading design, Value Engineering, and HEML reviews
- Ensuring design risk assessments meet statutory requirements
- Producing monthly design dashboards and tracking project performance
- Supporting civil and electrical design delivery across multiple teams
- Helping capture lessons learned and driving continuous improvement
This is a varied, hands‑on role that combines technical understanding, coordination, communication, and problem‑solving.
About You
You'll thrive here if you bring:
- Proven experience in design coordination within engineering or construction
- Strong knowledge of CDM 2015
- HNC/HND (or equivalent experience) in a technical discipline
- Ideally working toward or holding NEBOSH Construction Certificate
- Excellent communication - written, verbal, visual
- Ability to work independently and manage your own deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with P6, ProjectWise, Alfresco, or Toolkit CDM is a bonus
- A full UK driving licence
What We Offer
On top of a competitive salary and hybrid working, you'll enjoy:
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
- Reservist Leave: 18 days paid, 22 days unpaid
- Pension with up to 10% employer contribution
- Cycle to Work, Home & Tech, and Green Car Leasing schemes
- Tenancy Loan & Season Ticket Loan
