What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you'll support the delivery of consents and legal agreements across a range of major infrastructure projects. With guidance from experienced surveyors and managers, you will:

  • Assist in acquiring freehold/leasehold property, easements, wayleaves and statutory consents
  • Work with land agents, grantors, solicitors and internal project teams
  • Help manage negotiations for installation, alteration or retention of network assets
  • Support planning, environmental and legal processes related to capital projects
  • Maintain strong relationships with planning authorities, statutory bodies and external partners
  • Represent the Consents team in meetings and workshops
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture
  • Keep safety at the heart of everything you do

What You'll Bring

Required:

  • GCSEs (Maths, English, Science - Grade C+ or equivalent)
  • A Levels / Level 4 qualification (or willingness to achieve equivalent)
  • Strong safety awareness
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self‑motivation and a team‑focused mindset

Desirable (training can be provided):

  • Experience or knowledge in surveying, land rights, planning, or utilities
  • Understanding of property law, wayleaves, agriculture, or valuations
  • Awareness of legislation affecting utilities and electricity networks
