What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you'll support the delivery of consents and legal agreements across a range of major infrastructure projects. With guidance from experienced surveyors and managers, you will:
- Assist in acquiring freehold/leasehold property, easements, wayleaves and statutory consents
- Work with land agents, grantors, solicitors and internal project teams
- Help manage negotiations for installation, alteration or retention of network assets
- Support planning, environmental and legal processes related to capital projects
- Maintain strong relationships with planning authorities, statutory bodies and external partners
- Represent the Consents team in meetings and workshops
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture
- Keep safety at the heart of everything you do
What You'll Bring
Required:
- GCSEs (Maths, English, Science - Grade C+ or equivalent)
- A Levels / Level 4 qualification (or willingness to achieve equivalent)
- Strong safety awareness
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Self‑motivation and a team‑focused mindset
Desirable (training can be provided):
- Experience or knowledge in surveying, land rights, planning, or utilities
- Understanding of property law, wayleaves, agriculture, or valuations
- Awareness of legislation affecting utilities and electricity networks
