Reactive Engineer (x1) – Intruder / CCTV / Access Control
Location: North London, Hertfordshire & Essex
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £38,000 – £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Job Description

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Reactive Security Engineer to carry out servicing, maintenance, and reactive works on Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and Access Control systems across North London, Hertfordshire, and Essex.

This role is ideal for a service engineer who enjoys fault-finding, problem-solving, and delivering excellent customer service. You’ll be working across a range of sites, ensuring systems are kept in full working order and compliant with all relevant standards.

Key Skills & Essential Experience
    • Servicing and fault finding on Intruder alarms
    • Servicing and fault finding on Access control / Door entry systems
    • Conventional & Wireless Intruder Alarm Systems
    • IP & Analogue CCTV systems with basic networking skills
    • Dual Com monitoring
    • Knowledge of other types of communication devices
    • Knowledge of all major brands of Panels & App based systems
    • Maintenance of Emergency Lighting
    • Familiar with all NSI codes of practice
    • Knowledge of all current industry standards
    What We’re Looking For

    You should be an experienced service engineer who enjoys working on faults and problem solving. You should also have great communication skills as well as enthusiasm, self- motivation and time-management skills. A full UK manual driving license is essential. You are likely to live in North London and must be willing and able to cover the surrounding Hertfordshire and Essex territory.

    Hours & Schedule
    • Monday to Friday, 7.75 hours per day, starting at 8:30 am


    • Participation in an on-call rota (1 in 5 to 1 in 9 weeks) with competitive rates


    • Field-based role – travel across North London, Hertfordshire, and Essex, so you will need to be flexible


    • Work involves use of ladders and can be physically demanding


    • NSSA Security Screening required prior to employment
