You will be working with a leading organisation in the Insurance sector that is looking for an IT Operational Support Managwr to join its Operations team. Your new role

In this role, you will provide vital support to the Operations, Underwriting, and IT teams, helping to deliver company-wide initiatives, IT support, process improvements, and reporting. You will be responsible for providing desktop support services, including installing software, setting up printers, and configuring laptops. You will manage IT assets and work closely with third-party providers, as well as conduct IT audits and oversee processes for joiners and leavers. You will act as the first point of contact for system support tickets and deliver training to business users. The role also involves assisting with disaster recovery and business continuity planning, administering SharePoint, and supporting operational processes. You will manage the support inbox to ensure service levels are met, set up new brokers on the system, and provide access and training to internal and external users. Additionally, you will produce daily monitoring reports, support regional directors with administrative tasks, and carry out CRM setups and data mappings.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent organisational and planning skills, strong communication abilities, and the confidence to build effective relationships. You should be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and have experience in technical service support and ticketing systems. Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and defect management is important, as is familiarity with SQL and business process management tools. It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of the UK insurance market and MGA business, experience with policy administration systems, DevOps, scripting languages such as Python, and process automation. You should be educated to degree level and have one to two years of experience in technical and operational support, ideally within financial services. Working towards Cert CII would be a bonus.
