Summary
Female Personal Assistant/Support Worker required to assist Tricia who is in her 60’s and has a Physical Disability living in the Wishaw area.
You would be required to provide one-to-one care and assistance within their home, and in the community to participate in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:
· Preparing meals and snacks
· Moving and assisting - pushing a manual wheelchair & assisting with electric chair
· Accompanying to social events and appointments
· General Housework
· Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living.
Must be reliable and take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.
The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Driver with Full UK Automatic Driving Licence is essential as you will be required to drive an automatic wheelchair adapted vehicle.
Relevant care experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)
Recruiting for 1 position.
Guaranteed permanent position of 12 hours per week.
Days and times:
Every Monday and Thursday: 11:00am to 5:00pm
Hourly rate:
£13.00 per hour
