An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part-Time Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, supportive, and forward-thinking veterinary practice in Burton upon Trent.

The practice was fully refurbished in 2024, offering a modern, welcoming environment designed to support both excellent clinical care and colleague wellbeing. The successful candidate will work closely alongside an experienced Branch Partner with a strong interest in ultrasound and cardiology, providing a fantastic opportunity for learning, development, and career progression.

This role offers genuine flexibility, with a 30-hour working week, making it ideal for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to balance professional fulfilment with life outside of work.

Conveniently located near the A38, the practice is just 20 minutes from Derby city centre and under 45 minutes from Nottingham and Birmingham, making it easily accessible for commuters.

The practice is RCVS accredited and offers a broad range of services, including ultrasound, X-ray facilities, and Cat Friendly Clinics, ensuring high clinical standards and a progressive approach to patient care.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will be:

• RCVS registered
• Confident in delivering exceptional patient and client care
• Experienced in working effectively within a collaborative team
• Able to demonstrate clinical leadership and a progressive mindset
• Passionate about developing a positive clinical culture
• Supportive of nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures, recognising their impact on efficiency and performance
• Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and influencing, bringing out the best in colleagues
