Summary
Main responsibilities Assist qualified Clinical Psychologists in the delivery of specialist psychological services for older people Undertake psychological assessments using a variety of methods (tests, self-report measures, rating scales, structured interviews, observations, etc.) Support in the analysis and reporting of psychological data Assist in the delivery of group-based and individual interventions that are neuropsychologically-informed, under supervision Contribute to the development and evaluation of intervention packages for older people and their families Support audit and service evaluation activities to enhance the quality and effectiveness of services Undertake appropriate CPD and training activities relevant to the role Contribute to liaison between Psychology and the wider MDT, ensuring effective and compassionate care for service users. Clinical responsibility Work under the supervision of Clinical Psychologists, adhering to professional guidelines and service policies Maintain high standards of record-keeping and data management Take responsibility for organising workload to meet agreed goals and deadlines Demonstrate the ability to work empathetically and sensitively with people and their families, showing strong communication and interpersonal skills.
