40 hours per week: Monday to Friday, 6:00-14:30, or 7:00-15:30 with a 30-minute break per shift

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and productive Caretaker to join our branch in Woolpit. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our customers. This position requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality customer service while ensuring that the premises are well-maintained.
What does the role involve?
Maintain clean, safe and secure branch premises
Support health and safety processes across the branch
Carry out routine maintenance, groundskeeping and cleaning across the premises, including basic DIY tasks, gardening, spillages and gritting
Ensure the overall cleanliness, tidiness and upkeep of the site is at the required standard and rectify where required
Ensure all recycling and waste management processes are being followed across the branch
Check in company courtesy cars and maintain general condition, including oil and water etc.
Ensure yard operations are effective, including management of customer and company vehicles
Ensure vehicles are cleaned to the required standard, including steam cleaning operations
Any other duties relevant to the smooth and efficient operation of the department as determined by your manager
What are we looking for in a candidate?
Previous experience in commercial cleaning or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
HGV driving licence, preferred, not essential.
A strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills and a caring attitude towards residents.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage time effectively.
