Summary

With small class sizes and friendly teachers, our swim school offers a structured way to learn how to swim. The swim school offers pre-school Duckling classes from age three and the ASA National Plan from age four. Swim school lessons are currently available on Saturday, Sunday mornings and Wednesday, Friday after school at Denstone College pool.

Beginning Life as a school in 1873, Denstone College is a thriving, co-educational boarding and day school, situated close to Uttoxeter. It has its own preparatory school, which has recently moved onto the main campus, providing continuous education on the same site for pupils aged from 4–18. The school is part of the Woodard Corporation, and the Head is in membership of HMC.

The successful candidate will have:

Recognised Level 1 or Level 2 Swim Teacher Qualification
Experience of teaching in and out of the water is desired
Duckling experience is desired
NPLQ OR National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches or willing to work towards
Experience of 1-1 lessons, with new starters who need more individual attention is desired
The ability to plan and deliver safe effective lessons
Be able to communicate effectively with children, staff and parents
The ability to adapt lessons to all users
