Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a lady in my early 60’s living in Talbot Green. I have Multiple Sclerosis which limits my mobility. I am happy and outgoing and I enjoy getting out and about socially.
I enjoy eating out, going to the cinema, visiting museums and I also enjoy the great outdoors. I am looking for someone proactive to help me find new hobbies and someone who can think outside the box to support me.
PURPOSE OF JOB
I am looking for a permanent PA who will be committed for long term employment. The purpose of the job is to support me with my social activities and personal care. There will also be times when I am unable to go out and then light domestic tasks and meal preparation support will be required.
PLACE OF WORK
At my home and in and around the RCT area
HOURS OF WORK
13 hours per week / over 3 – 4 shifts, weekends on occasion
RATE OF PAY
£14.00 per hour plus mileage where applicable
TASKS INVOLVED
To accompany me on hospital, doctors and dentist visits.
To provide suitable transport for social outings. (e.g. own car)
Support with personal care
To enable and accompany me out on social outings to include going shopping, concerts, cinema and special events etc.
Going to the gym with me – usually in Llanishen
Preparing drinks, meals and snacks when required
Light domestic assistance around my flat
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
You must be proactive, think on your feet and be able to hit the ground running
Someone with a good sense of humour and able to have a laugh with trivial things
Considerate, outgoing and kind
Someone who has experience with Multiple Sclerosis
Work on your own initiative – if you see a task needs doing, get on with it without having to have guidance all the time
A mature and sensible person
ABOUT THE JOB
This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.
All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.
Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.
Wages will be paid on a monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
