Summary
Patient Pathway Integration: Address IPC risks across the entire patient journey, including shared spaces, diagnostics, and staff workflowsnot just clinical areas. Design and Estates Integration: Inform spatial design, ventilation, materials selection, and cleaning protocols. Advise on zoning, flow, cleaning regimes, and digital monitoring, ensuring IPC is referenced in the Estates and Facilities Management (EFM) section of the TOM. Workforce and Operational Readiness: Embed IPC in workforce training and professional development. Support IPC input into commissioning, soft landings, and readiness testing. Stakeholder Engagement: Lead and document stakeholder engagement activities related to IPC. Ensure evidence of engagement and risk mitigation is included in TOM/OBC submissions. Reporting and Communication: Facilitate two-way communication between IPC, clinical, and operational teams. Provide regular updates to the Clinical Cabinet and Redevelopment Programme Board.
