About the role
Perolli Lock and Key Solutions LTD is a growing locksmith and automotive key services company based in Guildford, Surrey. Due to continued business growth and expanding partnerships across residential, commercial and automotive sectors, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead sales growth and manage key client accounts.
This is a senior commercial role with responsibility for developing new business opportunities, managing strategic accounts, and supporting the leadership team in expanding the company’s market presence. While the role is primarily commercial, it also includes limited operational involvement to support client demonstrations and team leadership.
Key responsibilities
Business development and sales (primary focus)
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across residential, commercial and automotive markets
• Manage and grow existing client accounts, including fleet operators, rental companies, and commercial partners
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and service agreements with clients and partners
• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and market share
• Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers and partners
Operational and team leadership support (secondary focus)
• Occasionally support operational activities such as key cutting, vehicle key programming and direct product sales as part of client demonstrations or commercial support
• Lead, supervise and train the locksmith team and apprenticeship team, supporting skills development and service quality
• Work closely with operational staff to ensure sales activity aligns with service delivery and customer expectations
General management
• Provide regular performance and market insight reports to senior management
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements and industry standards
Skills and experience
• Proven experience in business development, sales or account management
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Experience leading, training or mentoring teams is highly desirable
• Knowledge of locksmithing or automotive key programming is an advantage but not essential
• Willingness to travel within the operational area as required
Language skills (desirable, not essential)
Due to international collaborations with lock and key manufacturers and technology partners—particularly in Turkey and Balkan countries—the ability to speak any of the following languages would be an advantage:
• Turkish
• Albanian
• Serbian
• Bosnian
• Macedonian
(English fluency is essential.)
Travel requirements
The role requires regular domestic travel across the UK and occasional international travel to meet suppliers, manufacturers and commercial partners. Flexibility to travel at short notice is required.
Due to collaborations with international partners in Europe, Turkey and the Balkan region, candidates who already have visa-free access to these regions would be at an advantage. This is desirable but not essential.
Why join us
• Competitive salary aligned with senior commercial responsibilities
• Opportunity to play a key role in a growing, family-run business
• Exposure to international partnerships and advanced automotive security solutions
• Long-term career development and leadership opportunities
