We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.
This role will be within our Distribution & EV team. We’re working hard to make safe, quality, sustainable EV projects a reality. Our teams install charging stations, ensuring they are accessible and reliable, and ingrate them into the energy network.

What will you be doing?
Are you experienced in supporting bids & contracts in line with pricing, risk management and governance? As a Contract Manager, you’ll ensure all operational functions are in line with M Group Energy policies and procedures and requirements for any contracts the role is responsible for.
Are you an effective leader with the ability to guide project team members, fostering a positive team culture? You’ll direct manage of a team consisting of Construction Manager(s) and the Back Office Administrators. You’ll:
- Manage all activities for EV infrastructure projects, including ICP works under NERS accreditation
- Oversee performance of staff and subcontractors to meet Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards
- Act as the primary operational contact for clients and contractors, ensuring compliance with processes and timely delivery of milestones
- Coordinate procurement, resource planning, and document control for as-built and progress records
- Drive cost and value reconciliations, minimize WIP, and identify opportunities for revenue and profit growth
- Engage in monthly cost & value reconciliations
- Protect M Group Energy contractually against delays, maintain strong client relationships, and uphold core values by delivering on commitments

What you’ll bring
- Proven experience in similar role ideally from a Civils / Utilities background
- Commercial awareness & use of Construction Contract Management
- Experience of Construction Project Management
- Organised with a high attention to detail and the ability to react to constant changing workloads
- Computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Powerpoint
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively and work with staff at all levels
- Full UK driving licence – this role will include site visits so willingness to travel is essential
