• Willingness to work at late notice and be available for work during exam period (May/ June) and at other points in the year.
• Willingness to be able to work between 8.00 am and 5.30 pm. Exam sessions are up to three hours, so invigilation sessions may be up to four hours in some instances.

Exam Invigilators

Sheffield NJC Pay Point 5 - £13.26 per hour

To work during exam and assessment periods throughout the academic year

We are seeking five reliable and conscientious individuals to join our team as Exam Invigilators. This vital role ensures that examinations are conducted fairly, securely, and in line with JCQ and NDHS regulations.

As an Invigilator, you will:

• Supervise examination sessions and maintain a calm, supportive environment for candidates. This will include working as a team in the main halls, as well as alone in a smaller room.
• Uphold the integrity of the assessment process by ensuring all students have an equal opportunity to demonstrate their abilities.
• Safeguard the security of exam papers and materials before, during, and after each session.
• Prevent malpractice and administrative errors by following established procedures.
• Be available for the majority of examination series and each session within.

In some cases, Invigilators will be asked to act as Scribes, assisting students with writing their exam responses while strictly adhering to JCQ regulations.

Invigilators will be required to support students using IT software to complete their examinations.

Training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary—just a commitment to professionalism, attention to detail, IT proficiency and supporting student success.
