Salary: £12.21 per hour
Hours: 1 day a week
Location: Sheffield, S4 7ZJ

As a Workshop Cleaning Operative at Veolia, you play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment for our technical teams.

Your role is pivotal, ensuring that our workshop facilities remain compliant with health and safety standards and that our teams can work effectively. What will you be doing?

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the workshop, including floors and work areas
  • Dispose of waste materials in accordance with company procedures and environmental regulations
  • Support the workshop team by ensuring tools and equipment storage areas are kept clean and organized
  • Carry out routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and pressure washing
  • Assist with the maintenance of external yard areas
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and materials
  • Work within Health & Safety regulations and be responsible for your safety and those around you
  • Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the Workshop Management Team
  • Other general duties as required by the Workshop Management Team

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in a cleaning or facilities maintenance role (desirable but not essential)
  • Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering quality work
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
