Crynodeb

Are you a dynamic Art Teacher (QTS) looking to inspire the next generation of creators in the UK's most iconic seaside town? We are seeking an energetic and imaginative specialist to join a forward-thinking Creative Arts department at a respected Secondary School in Blackpool.

If you have a passion for bringing visual stories to life and the ability to motivate students across the Fylde Coast, we want to hear from you!

The Role: Elevating the Arts by the Sea

A fantastic opportunity has opened for a proactive QTS Art Teacher to join a supportive and vibrant department in Blackpool. Whether you are covering a long-term sickness, a maternity leave, or a fixed-term contract, your expertise will be vital in ensuring students remain inspired and technically proficient.

In a town known for its bright lights and bold energy, you will play a key role in helping students from diverse backgrounds express themselves through various media, ensuring that Art remains a cornerstone of their educational experience.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Ignite Imagination: Plan and deliver high-impact Art & Design lessons for KS3 and KS4, covering everything from foundational drawing to advanced mixed media.

  • GCSE Success: Support Year 11 students in the high-pressure run-up to their final practical exams, providing the technical guidance needed for top-tier portfolios.

  • Cultivate a Studio Culture: Maintain an organized and safe classroom environment where students feel confident to experiment with new techniques and materials.

  • Showcase Talent: Encourage students to curate their work, fostering a sense of pride in their artistic progress and final outcomes.

  • Seamless Integration: Quickly adapt to the school's unique ethos and collaborate effectively with the wider creative faculty.

What We Are Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory, alongside a relevant degree in Fine Art, Illustration, or a related field.

  • Secondary Experience: Proven success teaching the Art & Design curriculum at KS3 and KS4 levels.

  • Technical Versatility: Strong skills in a variety of disciplines, such as painting, printmaking, textiles, or 3D design.

  • Resilience & Energy: The ability to engage students with a "can-do" attitude and a genuine passion for the subject.

  • Compliance: A current Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or a willingness to obtain one).

Why Choose Blackpool with Randstad?
  • Competitive Pay: Daily rates from £150 - £220, paid weekly to reflect your specialist expertise.

  • Unique Setting: Work in a town with a vibrant community and a unique cultural landscape.

  • Total Flexibility: Enjoy the rewards of teaching without the long-term administrative burden of a permanent role.

  • Referral Rewards: Earn a £300 bonus for every fellow teacher you refer to us who is successfully placed!
