If you are looking for your next role in education, we would love to hear from you!Green Wrythe Primary School have an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Midday Supervisor to join our existing team in our Rainbow base. We are looking for someone to assist the class teacher, class team and the Midday Supervisor team in providing supervision on the premises during the lunchtime break. To be involved in encouraging children in purposeful play and social skills activities.The main duties and responsibilities of a bank midday supervisor are: General supervision of children during the lunch period, in the dining hall, playground and classrooms. This will include providing support for pupils with ASD, ensuring their safety and access to lunchtime activities.Encouragement of purposeful play and social skills activities.Encouraging independent skills - cutlery, tidying up etc.Support with developing and trying new foods.Supervising children washing hands etc. before eating, as required.Setting up lunch tables, assisting in serving children lunch, cleaning down after lunches.Working in close cooperation with other school staff, being part of the school team.Watching for any visitors to the school during the lunch break and enquiring their purpose, giving directions as necessary.Dealing with minor first aid problems. Reporting any accidental injury to a senior staff member and/or qualified first aider.Supporting children with personal hygiene and toileting as per their individual needs and requirements and dealing with children who are ill (including supporting cleaning up any mess where necessary, if the site manager is off site for any reason).Reporting and escalating any concerns, including any issues regarding behaviour, to the class teacher or senior staff member in class.Contributing to the ethos/work/aims and happy atmosphere of the school.Willingness to undergo relevant training, including safeguarding and first aid training.Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection.
