Summary
The post holder will acquire and maintain a high level of professional competence in the performance of all tests, investigations and measurements carried out under the band 6 remit. They will be expected to interpret and act upon results of tests, investigations and measurements in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. The post holder will work in a multidisciplinary team that includes other cardiac physiologists, assistant cardiac practitioners, radiographers, consultants and medical staff, nursing staff and all other personnel either hospital or externally based. The post holder will partake in PCI & to participate in the 24/7 PPCI on call rota as required. To assist in the responsibility for stock control ensuring levels are maintained appropriately. Provide and receive complex technical information and interpret results for the care of cardiology patients and is a source of expert advice to patients, relatives and other healthcare professionals Work unsupervised, where experienced, and to follow professional guidelines and protocols within the department Undertake training as necessary in particular in the field of pacing and devices. Input data into computerised systems and maintains patients records to ensure accuracy Maintain the pacemaker and ICD database, including audit data Maintain and develops systems for remote follow up of devices as required Ensures equipment is kept safe. Additional working pattern details: 4 long working days per week (3 x 8am - 6pm, & 1 x 8am - 5.30pm)
